Some forums allow a peak view by just placing the cursor on the subject line. This will then open a small box with the first few lines of the OP. Could this be enabled here?

Not everybody wants to read every thread. Some subject lines are vague and don't tell what the poster wants. On MV, to find out what the thread is really about, one needs to open the thread.

I hate sites that do that. You move your mouse, and a box pops up out of nowhere.
Besides, if there's one lesson you should have learned about MV by now, it's that the first post has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the thread.

I cannot find any news about the train wreck, hopefully there was not a scooter involved hence you should rename this thread "train wreck NSR"

Actually, I opened this thread expecting info on an actual scooter-involved train wreck. Just yesterday I watched a young rider skirt around the lowered railroad crossing barrier just to save a few seconds. Glad to find out otherwise.

There actually was a train wreck today in Texas, when a train hit a Veterans Day parade float.

Well, when I saw the title, I thought it would actually be about a train crash. Then the twisted part of my brain said: you know what would be funny, if this is another thread started by Arno about something useless that turns into a 'train wreck'. Imagine my surprise...

The real issue is that I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick than have random boxes appearing all over the place whenever the mouse moves around. Lots of sites do that, and I find those sites, without exception, to be highly fucking annoying. So no, we won't be implementing that feature here.

"Train Wreck" is not NSR, it is about your program. |

Well Arno, I've got your back on this one. For whatever reason, I can't stand threads titled "A question," "Can someone please tell me why ..." or similar unilluminating titles. My own personal protest is that I don't open those threads.
