I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. Just bought a set of side cowl trim for my 61' VNB. Does anyone have any advise on the best way to get it on the side cowls? It came with screws but Im not sure how far apart the screws need to be or how its supposed to sit on the cowl under the curve. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
This is the trim that I got.

the screws slide in the groove on the back, so your hole placement isn't super critical. Find a photo of your model with the trim, and match that.

trim hole spacing
Hi,
Does this help? This eng cowl belongs to my 66 Sears BB/Sprint. The drilled holes, starting at the rear of the cowl where the transition begins, 3-5/8", the middle hole is 6-1/8" from the first, the front is 5-7/8"from the middle.
As was mentioned, the attachment clips slide within the trim, so that aspect is not critical.
I'm guessing, you are wanting to add the trim as an accessory?
Hope this helps

I put on the same ones & looks good with nice shiny ones. even on a banged up scooter! Same on VNB.
Here's a BIG pic so you can see exactly how it goes, same as the old one.
Could have cropped it, but nah...

I found I had to curve them a bit so the tips contacted the cowl FIRST and the whole thing pulls in tite. Gently now, I almost kinked one.

I didn't think that the trims were fitted in 1961?

Cheers
