When you see it...

I picked up a sub for dinner last night, and the window sign smacked me upside the Vespa conscious head!

Had to share this funny!

I eat one 2-3 times a week, has been my favorite Subway sandwich for years. The Vespa in the pic further proves I know a good sandwich.

Yum is not he word that springs to my mind at seeing a subways store or advert

Only sandwich I have ever ordered from Subway.

In the uk a spicy Italian foot long sub and standard drink is £5.00 that would be $7.90 or thereabouts.

I do love a Subway spicy italian, but having read the calorific content I only have one on rare occasions.

And I bet the pressed Subway meats are imported - from Brooklyn...........

I'll take the imported Italian cold cuts (Porchetta, prosciutto, capicolla, mortadella) that our village market sells and make my own sandwich on freshly baked bread from the next village down the road.

I just cooked fusilli with pancetta, creme fraiche, peas and Parmesan, a tomato and basil salad, a watercress and lambs leaf salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette, home made garlic bread. And a strawberry tart for dessert

Toasted not heated. With white cheese on plain Italian bread. No banana peppers or pickles. Ahem, spinach instead of iceberg lettuce. Thank you! Forget the coockie and the chips. I will drink water.

For the veggies i grow a small vegetable garden with potatoes, courgettes, aubergines, chicory, greens and strawberries.
Consider that until seven years ago i was a designer of furniture and i stopped to make the kiwi farmer but now i have a better quality of life.
Try it to believe it.
