I bought 2 nice pirelli on the internet for a very good price, I went to one scooter shop and they quoted me £20 for the front, £35 for the rear tyre. If I bring the wheel would be 20 each=£40, it seems to me a lot for less than 10min job. They told me also they can't do wheel alignment as they don't have instrument to do that. Question: you reckon is the right price to change tyre and do you need to align the tyre for the scooter (e.g. with the weight as for the car)? Tyre centres don't replece tyre/alignment for scooter as they told me the diameter of the wheel is too small for their instrument.

20-30 quid is about right if they replace the valve and balance the tyre - they have to pay a disposal charge on the old tyres. Charging only 15 quid more for removing the rear tyre isn't bad either.

I take the wheels off myself, and take them in, but get the shop to source the tyres. They then do the fitting for free labour (but do charge 10 quid a tyre for the valve etc).

Do not use a shop that won't balance the tyres...

thanks, I went to a Piaggio centre and they told me the scooter doesn't need balance the tyre, quite misleading I'm surprised they know less than me about this things, won't go to that shop again, thanks for your advise!
