All that is needed to buy online is the code number on the coupon. It can be purchased online and picked up at the store.
FWIW it's at least the 3rd or 4th manufacturer they used in the last 5 years. YMMV |

Foot pump, takes about 60-70 pumps to raise it from the floor to top position. Had it for about a year and using it for 2 scooters, a moped, and a dirt bike it's totally worth it for me. Saves my back from all the bending over. Haven't had any issues with it yet. I even use it to take heavy objects out if my truck bed.

Yep, and be prepared to top up the hydraulic fluid with time. Mine leaks a bit and I heard others do too. A bottle is $5 at HF

I have almost exactly the same. Probably all made out of the same Chinese factory.
Anyway I love it. Works well and my scooter is parked on it all the time. I stand beside it and just walk it on and off. |

harbor freight lift
I've had one for 8 yrs and have had no problem with it. You don't always need to place it on the highest level, so no need to pump it to much.

That is the best price I've seen so far.
I don't understand this lift other than the convenience of being able to work at eye level. One still needs a lift on top of a lift when working on the bike to get it off the big lift for tasks like droppiing the engine, front access, etc. |

Not just this lift but all table lifts offer the benefit of working at just the right level for the job that prevents the mechanic from having to bend down. I think that this is more than convenience, it is good and healthy ergonomics. The convenience comes when you use the table as a storage for the tools you are working with. If you have to drop the engine, at least this lift here allows the rear wheel to drop (and with it the engine), so you can still work at a healthy level. That this job may require extra tools to lift the scooter for the engine to drop (or the front end to rise) is not a negative for table lifts. |

Okay, okay, I remove mine all the time. Usually because I broke it. But engine removal should be a rare event, for the most part. For front access, I put the bike on the lift backwards and clamp the rear wheel. Works well on my lift, but it's different than the HF one. Getting the bike up off the ground makes a huge difference. I worked on the ground or on the concrete floor for years, and it sucked. Now that I have a lift, maintenance chores are a veritable joy. ![]() ⚠️ Last edited by jess on UTC; edited 1 time

Ground clearance of a GTS on a center stand is about 9" at the front end.
Some of these mini jacks have a max rise of 16" (the Sears one of 15.75"). Not sure now whether this will be sufficient for what we need, but one could always feed some thick planks under the lift to add height. |

I've removed just about everything off my scooter at some point and yes you do need a couple of extra props. In saying that the convenience of being able to work at a pleasurable height far exceeds any other inconvenience.
Every time I use it I say to myself "why didn't I get one of these 20 years ago?" |

It's not just ergonomics that make bike lifts useful. It's amazing how much more you can see when it's up at eye level. Makes the work go faster if you can see what you're doing, and you're more likely to notice when things are not quite right.

And if you're going to get a stand you need one of these sprung seats.
Now all you need is some ambient background music and a pillow to work on your scoot. ![]() |
