Correction. That is the best gift ever.
I'm so glad that you like it.

Update...! a couple of days ago I received installment #2 of the MV gift exchange from SharpColorado. While the scooter shaped pizza cutter and Peanut Butter Cups from a few weeks ago were plenty in my mind, we also just got a package containing 2 tins of fancy Italian (of course!) olive oil!!! One came a bit dinged up (danged delivery people...) - but I am sure the oil will still taste just fine...
Thanks again SharpColorado for the gifts - and to Scootchef for organizing this whole thing - it was awesome!!! Here they are - will be used in our next pizza dough batch!

The ale was part of my gift from trirol1, and it was excellent. If we do the beer exchange, this would be an excellent selection for a lucky recipient. |

Some of the pictures (including the dragon one that you showed (which is actually in an old garden in Shanghai) were taken a bare month ago... We were a little slow in selecting the ones for the calendar and getting it printed, but I sent yours off to you the day I got them... Sometimes takes longer to get a letter delivered within the UK than it took for this to get to you in Canada! Bob3D |

K2 SC the barefoot chef thing works for you. Maybe roll up the jeans a little higher and add an ankle bracelet and a few toe rings. |

Great Gifts!
Many thanks to my "secret Santa" dchernikoff for the cool goodies from Silicon Valley! I've been in the industry for over 30 years and have gone from punch cards to iPads and beyond, so this is really appropos.
We just got back from visiting family and found this lovely gift package waiting for us: I love the Computer History Museum book, magnet, bookmark, and mints (in a mouse tin); my wife loves the computer key wine charms, and the kids have already grabbed the HEXbug and scarfed down the popcorn! Happy Holidays! Wishing you the best for a Happy New Year! - Dave |

Ok, my count may be off a little, but it seems as though 53 exchanges have been completed. I think there were 73 participants. That leaves 20 more to go. Any way we can compile a list of those who have given and recieved and those who have not? I'll take the time to do it, if I am given permission to do so.

I'll announce the chocolate exchange in the next few days. I will stress that if people want to participate, they need to make sure they have the ability for follow through. It's so much more fun when all that want to participate can be both a giver and a recipient. Mmmmmm, chocolate. I'm seeing so many fabulous independent chocolatiers here in San Francisco. |

Perhaps we could have a round of volunteers to send gifts to those who sent but did not receive? For me, the most fun is choosing the gift and giving it. I'd be happy to "adopt" an MV member or two who sent but did not receive a gift.

Okay, I'm in too! I would love to adopt someone too! Count me in.
If you signed up to participate, I have your information on file. If you signed up and you did not receive a gift, please private message me by midnight on the 5th of January so someone can adopt you Please don't post to the forum, only a private message. I'll be traveling the 4th-8th, and will have limited access to email. I'll get an alert to your PM and work from there, but I will not likely check the forum on a regular basis while away. Yay! Thanks to all of you who wish to adopt. |
