many many thanks to mutt the hoople for offering to fill in the gap...and an awesome job she did!!! a multi-coloured pin for my leather jacket...choco treats, and italian specialities, a very interesting wood turned wine stopper and the dearest, kindest annotated card i've received in a very long time...thank you, honey!

Today after a bit of a wait I finally received my Christmas Gift from David and Lynda from Vespa Sherman Oaks.

The filthy fly screen and the "Union Jacked Up" top case from my Scooter Cannonball GTS arrived today and with them lots of wonderful memories from May last year.

It was the sweetest thing to do and I'm deeply moved by it.

Actually without knowing it David did me another ( massive ) favour.

By sending me the fly screen I no longer have to chase my vinyl guy who is under instructions to make some more Smart logos.

I'm due to get some publicity photos in the next couple of months this will help the process.

If anyone else wants a space on the screen just ask.

You and Rick really did a great job placing all of those stickers. Will you be attaching the top case to Rhymes with for the Iron Butt? If so then you already have my sticker. Donation will be coming no matter.

To be fair to the artist Rick just watched on as I ermd and arhd as to where all the flags, roundels and sponsors logos should go but I still wasn't entirely happy with it but pretty everyone got a space.
I was quite chuffed with the main body and the fly screen mainly because the vinyls looked so professional and were evenly distributed.

I won't be taking the ST top case with me to Europe mainly because I don't have a Vespa rack and it would look odd on the Rhymes with Orange so it will stay in my lounge.

Didge and his racks will once again be a sponsor so it's only fair that I'll be advertising his wares fore and aft.

IIRC, my contribution was a lot of eye rolling.

Graham and I are planning on doing a test ride to Paris in mid March and I'm going to try out my cut down big screen plus the standard Super Sport seat which isn't renowned for being that comfortable.

If the screen doesn't create too much of air brake the stickers will go on that.
That's why they have to be small.

I may well borrow a GT200 seat because they are far more comfortable.

Graham has got his head in his hands because I keep changing the route or loop as it could end up.
