I just received my gift today, and since we are both "local", Philip sent me his favorite Italian wine!
Thank you very much! Now...Philip...what is your MV name? Merry Christmas, Len ![]() |

Sent my gift package off today. I may have gone somewhat over the price guidelines, but I'm sure all will be forgiven.
One component of the gift should be an excellent accessory for the recipient's scooter based on an earlier MV thread. The only bummer is the Post Office tells me that first class to the UK will take up to two weeks! Sure, that's still well before Christmas, but since I'm pretty sure the package will go by air rather than by truck, train, and boat, what's with two weeks?! |

Gift arrived from William P: indigenous Dayton, Ohio potato chips and a book by Oakland's infamous bad boy Sonny Barger. (Sonny was born in Modesto, CA but gained fame as the head of the Oakland Chapter of Hell's Angels. I grew up in the "Oak town" so the Angels were part of the local color, as it were.)
Thanks! ![]() |

Its not all wrapped up on the inside, so act like opening the box is the wrapping paper. |

Thanks so much for the Petite Petit, and the thoughtful note - GIA.

I sent mine off this morning. I didn't wrap it so the recipient has no choice but to enjoy it upon opening.

I love this thread too. The Vespa "Thank You" notes were tres cool.
I felt a little guilty. My beneficiary is a San Diegan. I just couldn't see sending him something that if he really wanted he could get himself. Hence the bottle of Il Burchino. Now, the thing about Il Burchino is that the wine house in Tuscany where it comes from has two main estates. One of which is in Pontedara where, well you know what else comes from Pontedara. ..And I had the wine shipped from a San Diego shop. Consequently there is a total symbiotic relationship. |

It will go out in the mail today I promise. 8) Last week I received a highly suspicious box with a return address that did not show up either on Mapquest or my GPS. It took me three days to muster the courage to open it without notifying the authorities. Should I wear a mask just in case? Or put back my armored gear in case it blows up? I took it outside and had two of my neighbors back me up. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to unidentified packages. It turned out to be a drain hose for my washer and dryer that I had ordered on the Internet. ![]() ![]() |

I just got home from a trip to the post office and a few other errands. Someone, in my birth state, should be receiving a box of sunshine in the next few days.
