Change of Avatar
You've inspired me to change my stock 250 GTS picture. Just wish I had something a little bit more seasonal.

First forum I ever used an avatar on, and it took a while to settle on one. But it is several years old. I do havea christmas version I change to and have used for 5 years.

I made it. I'm keepin' it.
When we were at Amerivespa, we talked about having t-shirts with our Avatars printed on them so people might recognize us. |

I used one avatar here the first few years without changing, then after I moved back to the US (from Australia) a few years ago, when I changed/updated my profile to reflect new country and different scooters (sold scooters there when moving, bought different ones here), I swapped to this avatar (showing girl on red geared bike, like me - the GTV was a recent unplanned addition), this avatar has been unchanged since mid 2010 (two and a half years?)
Then again, since I read (lurk) quite a lot, but rarely post, it was probably not so noticeable when I changed avatars. ⚠️ Last edited by bemocked on UTC; edited 1 time

I won't chnage mine. It was given to me by a very special mod whose not around very much, well not at all i should say. I can find my post on a page easily with it. I don't like when people change theirs. I know who they are before looking at the text by just looking at the avatar. Change is so overrated.

This is my third, possibly fourth, but all have been Paperino (Italian for Donald Duck). This one will stick. Unless the scoot breaks again and I'm without it, then I'll use the sad Pap as I had been using for too long until just recently when it got back on the road.

Mine's been the same since "Day 1". I've thought about changing it, but I'd do something custom, and it just never crosses my mind to get the camera out when I'm tinkering with the scooter.

I think I may have changed mine briefly a couple years ago, but came back to the original.

I changed mine twice since I've been aboard I think. At first it was a generic scooter. Then for a bit it was a picture of me on what was then a black 300 Super. That summer we went to Italy and had our picture taken at a friend's restaurant in Pisa sitting on the chef's P series. I get so much joy out of the picture that it became my avatar and the cover of about every thank you card I write.
I wish I could explain it better. But its a picture that every time I see it brings a smile to my face. |

Well, I'm pretty new here. But I've changed my avatar once already. I kind of like this one. I think i"ll keep it.

Once I picked a picture of a an LX horn cover that had been modified to look like a GTS (unbeknownst to me). I used it for a few months until the guy who made the mod got upset and asked me to remove it. I would prefer that everyone had their own picture instead of having to wear avatar T-shirts at AV. But it seems that having your own picture is a bad karma magnet. I would be much better off without my cheesy smile and irreverent head tilt. Just saying! |
