Hello guys,

Just purchased my long awaited SIP lever as below :

I wonder is anyone here has a step by step manual / input on how to install these babies? Ow, my scooter is an Excel 200 (T5 frame, P200 motor)
I remember seeing it once here but can't seem to find that post..
Thanks so much and I'm sorry if this is a repost.

You are going to have to pull out your cables and run them all over again.

You have to insert the cables thru the hole in the top, then in thru wheel, then back into the bike. likely you are going to need new cables to run these, and you might even need to drill out the hole in the levers and also drimmel down the head of the cable to get it all to fit if you have after market cables.

Just the cables, leave the housing. I had to drill out one of the holes too on those.

Shawn and Mighty,

Thanks so much for the tip, I'll prepare the new wiring and see if it fits without any drilling.. hopefully.

I'll post some updates later on the installation..

I have those on all my scoots. A new cable will make the install very easy. I have never had to drill out the hole though. I love em and wont ever go back.

Agreed, I switch 'em when I can. I've found them cheap on Brit Ebay. Next up is black ones on the Primavera.

You can modify them to work with Ps I believe, COSA is similar & needed some grinding & filing.

After installation, can they be adjusted without ripping away the flesh from underneath a thumb/fingernail?

Yes, I adjust mine by pulling on the lever hard, then rolling the nut as I release the lever. I found the little pieces inside benefitted from deburring and lubing well individually before reassembly. You must thread the end of the cable thru small holes, so best use NEW cables if possible.

Checked UK EBay & came up with these. I got mine at the second place, didn't have the other then. They seem well made, but slightly 'cruder' than SIP's.

about $25 shipped including new pivot screws here
