Modern Vespa

I know many of you are sitting at your desks at work right now, wondering exactly how long you have to stay before sneaking out for the holiday. Here's something to pass the time.

This has been posted before, but it's a classic. This is an (alleged) German forklift safety film. Sounds dry, right? Well, it's actually quite funny, in a horrifyingly gruesome kind of way.

Good old Staplerfahrer Klaus. It's a classic.

I worked there in 1982 I think.

Our warehouse was big on tip overs and knocking down things.

I had to watch that film once in order to get my Professional Work Truck Operator Certification a few years back. It's like the old Ohio Highway Patrol safety movies on drugs, or the Monty Python of forklift safety. Great fun!

I worked in a metal shop in Alabaster, Alabama during summers between college in the '70s. The fork lift is called a "tow motor", and the dude that drove ours did shit like that all the time, except he never killed anyone, just broke a lot of stuff.
