Though my riding days are all but over for the season, I've heard and read a lot about using a Termoscud to extend the riding season. Looks like it's on my wish list for next year. The question I have for you Termoscud users, is does anyone have an idea if there's an upper limit for rider height? I'm 6'6"

If there are any other particularly tall riders out there using one, how well does it fit? I'll switch my pipe dreams to insulated pants and gloves if it doesn't seem like a good fit. Maybe I don't need to worry, but just thought I'd ask.

Thanks for your input!

You'll be fine.....I'm 6-0 AND have room to spare..

I occasionally will ride with both feet on the tunnels well, and there is room...

Too Tall
I'm 6'4" and I have some discomfort with the Thermoscud I've just installed. The Thermoscud does not fit over my knees very well. I guess I could loosen up the attaching straps, but then cold air would be able to come underneath and would lose a lot of the heat from the radiators.

It works okay the way I have it, but I do wish it would fit better over my knees. I find I do need to use the neck strap to keep it from moving forward. At 6'6" you will probable have more of an issue than I do.

Any other tall riders out there that have a solution for a better fit?

I don't know how much leg room the LX offers but let me ask you this question: "Do your knees clear the steel body frame or do they stick out a little? If they stick out a bit you will have porblems with the Termoscud. It is designed to follow the contours of the bike. Mike is right about loosening the straps underneath the floor but that will only give you a couple of inches.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Funny, growing up, everybody told me they could use a few inches of my height....and I wished I could offer some. Though I've gotten used to it, I still could shrink a bit and like it.

Max....Fortunately my knees do clear (back story-wound up on a Vespa as it was the only one that let me clear the handlebars....turned out to be a great thing ).

Still a bit iffy on whether it's a good thing or not, though you've convinced me it could work. Perhaps good it's not my only choice. Would be great to have a setup to slip into and have my answer. Well, at least I have all winter to ponder it for now.
