When I start my LX50 in the morning it is sluggish for about 50yards or so and has a little bit of blue smoke.

Is this normal? Is it just because it's cold or something.

As you may notice, I'm not that technical!

After 50 yards it clears itself and runs normally. It's almost as if there is a blockage if some sort.

Is it anything to do with it being a 2 stroke and an oil thing?

All two strokes will do this, i think its the oil not burning properly as the engine is still cold.

Nothing at all to worry about. My scoot produces loads of blue smoke on start up, smells great

Warm it up a few minutes before you roll out and inspect your spark plug once in a while.

How many miles? Tired belt?

It only has 10,700 kms on the clock. I must admit, I do just tend to switch on and go. I'll run for a few minutes before I head off today and see if that helps.

Let us know if that helps. If you are on the original belt which I doubt change it yesterday.
