Hey,
Was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to remove those reflector from my GTS. I already have the plugs from Scooterwest. Thanks,
Brian

I seem to recall that mine were held on with a screw into a metal clippy-thing that broke when I took it off. I replaced it with some red 3M tape that is a close match to the red paint. One cannot see it by day but it shines brightly when a light is played onto it. Are you adding cowl protectors? Do you need a reflector to pass inspection?

Wire-cutters on the clips behind, then pull off. Or a hammer, just as effective.

I took me off easily with a pair of pliers. Just grab the post at the base and bend back and forth gently until they pop off. When you get both off you can gently pull the reflector off.

Hammer works most of the time but alot of folks just ride the scoots and throw them down at about 30 mph, that usually takes them right off. Nerd emoticon

Door-frames do the job quite well too.

Refector refecting
Thanks for all the responses -all helpful. It always pays to ask before taking hammers, pliers, or wire cutters to your scooter.

Reflectors
Oh yeah, just taking them off for esthetics. Not actually certain about the inspection thing but based upon what I see on the road in VT I doubt it will be an issue. If anyone has had issues with inspection I would reconsider so let me know!

If you can use one of those counter top wipes wedged between the reflector and the scooter to protect the paint before you try to remove them. All the previously mentioned methods will work.
