Modern Vespa

...surfed to a German Vespa forum :

...remembered i had an unused Motip satin black spray can and did this :



Very easy :

1 Remove the "nose" using a flathead screwdriver to remove the Piaggio logo and a Philips screwdriver to remove the screw holding on the "nose".

2 Remove the "headset" :



3 Remove the dashboard. 4 screws & 3 electrical plugs + speedocable

4 Disassemble the dash and paint :



I used tape to mask the chrome bevel around the instruments.


What also should be nice -i think- is to paint it in the same color as the body...

i really like the black on white but the white on white is'nt bad either...

mine is black with a black gauge cluster and silver lining, wich color would suit my vespa ?? i need to think about that one, i still need to find some time to put on that headlampcover i bought from you so when i'm tearing the steering housing apart i can do this mod at the same time...

that idea is so good it's evil !!!

now to get plastic paint in black and red...(the red i can do with a retouch pen i htink)

...or a fine pencil and some Humbrol paint. (modelbouwshop)

good tip, i actually have my own RCshop but its RC and i have nothing that needs to be painted :-s
