I'm constantly looking for scooters on Craigslist for my friend(s) and I came across this... good deal? Yay or Nay?

This is from the Queens, NY dealership and he has called for more information.

Dashboard isn't working properly. I think the needles weren't working and the lights of the maintenance (not sure which ones) would flicker on and off. I assume the it's the dash that is broken and not the actual problem that "flickering lights" show

They said estimate cost to fix would be $200 (you guys already know prices for stuff like this)...

So $1800 + cost of repairs ($200?) worth it?

He's trying to sell his 07 LX150 to "upgrade" to this... hopefully he can break even. 12.5 K on his LX150 already.

$1800 is low and if it is just the instrument panel that would be a good deal. But if it was that the seller could have fixed it and sold it for more. It coiuld be that the seller was unknoweledgable or just didn't want to mess with it, in which case it would be a gooid deal. It could also be more serious, Maybe in a flood or something. At $1800 I would probably walk, and I can fix things. It would not hurt to offer $1400. That would give you some cushion.
