MP3 500

Can someone tell me what tools and sizes needed to remove the plastic cover that covers the steering handle bar clamp.

Also what tool and size is needed to tighten the steering bar clamp.

I found one at a dealer who will not touch this repair and I wish to test ride it. The bars have slop in the bar clamp area, about 2 inches movement till the lower steering rod moves the steering connector link.

My question is: If they refuse to even touch a steering clamp tightening repair, is this a dealer you want to deal with? God only knows what else is wrong and more complex that they refuse to fix. And god forbid you need service down the road from a place with an attitude like that...

So service isn't a concern, but I feel that the first part still holds, regarding any other possible existing issues they've been refusing to touch. Basically, if they're unwilling to touch a relatively simple fix like this, it's hard to be able to trust them on anything regarding the condition or fitness of the bike elsewhere.
