Welcome to MV. I've moved your post to General Discussion, as it is NOT a discussion of the Wiki contents, and is far more likely to get a helpful response here.

Aloha and welcome to the forum. There are manuals for most every scooter in the wiki section on this forum. Hopefully it will help. Good luck.

First of all, before we can really answer you, we need to know more accurately what you have.

As it is from 1999, I'm guessing that it is what is known as "pre-leader" as the "leader" engine was introduced in about 2000, but...

Anyway, you can probably answer that question quite easily by looking to see if there is a "sight glass" (round glass panel for looking at the oil level) in the side of your engine (opposite side to the spark plug...).

If you can't see one, try to identify the oil filler. is there an extension on it that dips into the oil to show the level?

If you have the "sight glass" you have a pre-leader. If it's the "dip-stick" it's a leader...
