I've ordered one of those audible flashers from Scooter West for my GTV 300. Should have it in a day or two. Question: where do I fine the OME Flasher in my scooter? I looked at the parts and wiring diagrams in Wiki and couldn't locate it. If it's tricky to get to, maybe someone could give me the necessary hints? Thanks!

IIRC, the GTS 250, the alasher signals are generated in the ECU. Suprisingly, the GTV does have a physical flasher behind the left kneepad (and it is silent).

All 300 models have a separate flasher unit.

Ok, great! It's easy to get into that area.

Thanks for the help!

The audible flasher arrived, and I have it installed. I'm happy with it. But I did run into a bit of frustration when installing. The original flasher is behind the left knee pad, and held in place be a rubber grommet thingy that attaches through a hole in a metal flange. When I was pulling the original flasher out, I inadvertently pulled the rubber grommet out of its hole. The new flasher fit into the grommet OK, but getting the grommet back into the hole proved to be a chore. Here's how I finally got it in.

I half wrapped a thin piece of nylon cord around the pointy part of the rubber that goes through the hole. Then I threaded the cord through the hole, followed by the rubber. Then I pulled the on the cord and at the same time used the end of a wooden ruler to push on the cord in the direction I wanted the rubber to move. The cord pulled the rubber through the hole to where it would lock in place. There was just no way that rubber was going to go through the hole on its own. And using needle nose pliers to pull on the rubber didn't help at all.
