It's time again for the biggest vintage scooter swap meet on the West Coast. It's this Sunday, Dec. 2. Vendors set up between 9 and 10 a.m. Visitors come on down at 10 a.m. and stay until the deals are gone (usually about 2 p.m.).

Everyone, regardless of what or whether you ride, is invited and encouraged to attend. This is very much an annual gathering of people who love things on two wheels, and it attracts a very diverse but friendly crowd. Free for vendors and visitors alike.

Bring your unwanted parts and/or scooters for sale along with some cash to grab the best deals you can negotiate and join us. Every year, this annual tradition just keeps getting bigger and better!

Not only is everyone encouraged to bring parts to swap and sell, but we will also bring out a huge supply of NOS, used and new surplus vintage scooter parts and we will definitely be willing to make some deals!

We supply the donuts and coffee, you just show up with parts or without. Our good friend DJ Jesse Trejo will be at the turntables, spinning your favorite tunes.

We'll see you all Sunday!

Hey Guys

How about a favor.....
To anyone going to the aforementioned scooter swap meet this Sunday...
Could someone be on the lookout for a trunk "lock with key", or even the whole lid that contains the same for me. It's for a 66 BB/ Sprint 150. The lock looks like this...
I know the RePops are there, but they are distinctly different. I have one.
Thanks!

I know we have a few nice originals without keys. We will be going through the misc bins this week, figuring out what we will be putting out for sale. If we come up with a good one with the key we will set it aside and let you know.

So here's a question. What kinds of things would everyone like to see us pull out of deep storage and down from upstairs? Any special requests?

Oh hell yeah! Despite a little drizzle my trip to the swapmeet was fantastic.

I was able to sell some of my surplus stuff for good cheddy, so I decided to ask Kara (who is extremely cool and very nice by the way) if they happened to have an EFL gear box for my PX2 build.. and of course they did!
Kristian, who's the nicest guy, got me totally sorted out! So I was able to pass on some stuff, lighten the load in the garage and get Exactly what I needed! Perfect!

I also scored a really nice headset that I want to customize AND new headlight assembly for my Super... I got the headset and the headlight assembly for TEN BUCKS!

Hung w/ some friends I haven't seen in years, met some new peeps and hung w/ Jimmy, Old Scoot, and the coolest cat of all time Rufio! 8)

And Kara and Kristian have definitely got some NICE NICE bikes in their shop.. it's clear they know what they're doing, care about what they're doing and they do it right!

Just a great day.. even with the drizzle.. DJ was spinning great tunes and it turned out perfect!

AND!.... to top it all off.. Kara was kind enough to give me the choke clip I've been looking for! Thank you Kara! That was really nice of you!...

Great shop, great bikes, great people!

We're very happy you had fun. We had a blast! Sold a bunch of stuff, even though it feels like we had to put back just as much stuff as we brought out.

The music was great, thanks to DJ Jesse Trejo and Supa Kay. And it was wonderful to see everyone who came out.

For everyone who would like to try out this annual event, remember: First Sunday in December. Be there!

Ahhhh shucks, but I gotta say you my friend are the cooler cat! And Jimmy is right up there with you.

It was a great time i agree. The only way it could have been better, is if I beat the punch to the 400 dollar or more worth mod leggy rack with real Og glass that Mr. Super mod Kevin Glory Boy bought for a hundy. It was nuts people were selling stuff on the cheap cheap. It was like birds flying overhead on this cloudy day. Cheap cheap- cheap cheap.

Yup...thanks Kara for the cables at special swap meet price , and thanks Vade for the goods.

Always good to see dj Jesse....always has sweet sweet music

You are welcome.
Awesome day to ride thru the pass................I got a good soakin on the way home.

Yea Kev got a front rack pre-poaded with goodies. He's serious about that stuff.
Oldscoot and Rufio, maybe Haf and I should come out your way and ride the Gabriel Mnts!
Vader, I knew you'd dig it, you were right at home(garage)with all those scoots and parts all over. haha
Jesse is super good folk and good dad too.

I think Iv'e said it before. When you attend a Bar swap meet you really get a good idea of SoCal scootin and most of what it's been for well over 20 years. Kara and Kristrian have a good circle of friends.
I always dig the part of walkin and talkin to all the people who show up.

As for pics, ask Bar, there's some pics up on a fbook page.

Good times

I took a few pictures, but I left my camera at the shop. I plan on sleeping ALL DAY tomorrow, thank you. So we will try to post some pics on Tuesday.

Again, thanks to all who attended.

Oh, and yes nomadinsiam. The GS seat strap screws. I'll dig up a few of those on Tuesday too and let you know.

Hi,
While your digging out those screws, please take a look for an OEM trunk box lock and key set for a 66 150 Sprint. Thanks..night night!

Thanks for the lead, but, I've already been in conversation with Jim. There are issues with keys that take it beyond simply fitting one.
Later.....
