When I got my first scooter, an LX 50, my friends joked about getting a Hog, which it wasn't, so I named it Piglet. I have since replaced Piglet with a PX 150 which is why I have been checking out the NSM side lately. Gotta say, there is a lot of useful information on here!

My last name is Killough, which no one can pronounce. Spelled Killo, it's easy. Or for those in Louisiana - Killeaux.

mine came from an old joke I had with my friends - during the early days of online computer gaming some people had really long user names before character limits got tighter across the board. My username-in-humor was going to be "Xantu the small but nefarious South American treefrog". Which was, of course, too long for any online service, so we abbreviated it.

I should start by introducing myself as I'm relatively new to the vintage bike scene. I bought a new GTS 250 in '06 and, while not a regular contributor to the modern board, have been a fairly consistent lurker. After attending our club rally this year in the mountains, and being dosed with 2T scent for three days, I took the plunge and purchased a stock 76 Serveta Jet 200 which had been imported locally when new. It is a fairly standard mustard. So, where did redbike come from?
My first pedal bike as a child was red, and while I had many other such bikes over the years of differing colors, red has always been my go-to shade, if given the chance. I've had three red scoots/motorcycles since. Hence, redbike. |

I used to teach people to fly airplanes. My title was "certified Flight Instructor". Or "CFI" for short. Then since that name is always taken I settled on "sea F eye"....

well...
i once went to the bakkery to get a loaf of bread, while i was there i was thinking i needed more bread but they can't be fitted under my pet carrier. so i scooted back home and get the cager, when i stopped at the traffic light someone drove into my rear bumper and i tought i had a wiplash. so we went to the hospital te get it checked out, after some testing a nurse came in. i happend to know her from school, we started talking and she was telling me how her dad(old friend of my dad) got sick and died etc. then the doctor came in and looked at the Xrays and he said my neck is fine and i just needed some pain killers. after that we went to the police station and fill in our papers. after that we went to search for something to eat, we went to the mcD's and then i realised i still needed some bread so i hurried to get a few loafs at the bakkery. wel this story has actually nothing to do with how i got my nickname but i got my nickname from the cars/scooters i ride, i drive with "sleepers", cars and scooters where nobody at the red lights suspects i can get away THAT fast ps : yes i'm a clown, i like laughing an telling BS stories to get the WTF reactions |

I live in Boca Raton. Raton is Spanish for Rat (Boca Raton = mouth of the rat). One of my favorite rides is my 67 GT rat. It's not one of those "oh let's matte black it and make it look like a rat bike" It's a beat up, paint peeling, dented, up scooter that Bocette said "you bought THAT piece of crap?" that has been heavily modified and is now a street racer.

I'm a longboarder/snowboarder geezer and a cancer survivor. The soul surfer surfs for the "zen" of it and really doesn't give a shit of other people's opinions of them being too "old".
The movie inspired me for that handle. My Corvette license plate also reads SOULSRFR so if you ever see a yellow Vette with that plate, wave and say hi. |

Using your real name is old school. I like it. The user tag or handle nicknames are some kind of weird hold over from the myspace people I think.
