Any tips on putting back the engine cover on a Fly 150 (2010)
Getting it off was a real problem with the oil dipstick throat (as mentioned by another poster) - but it eventually did slip off - now getting it back on is like putting toothpaste back in the tube. I have all the panels off and the floorboard lifted - but it keeps jamming up in the dipstick area - and yes, i did unscrew and remove the dipstick - and remove the air intake tubing.
Maybe I should grease up everything in the oil dipstick area and keeping pushing and pulling and sliding???
The scooter girl video was really helpful with everything but this problem - the lx150 seems to have an easier design, and she had all the panels off.

Fly 150 engine cover problem
the cover in question is the one over the outside of the variator/bendix area - nine bolts etc - silver aluminum looking cast cover on left side

It's just one of them weird puzzles, it looks and feels impossible to get back on... You question how it even came off .. But get the cover in the sweet spot and it will go on.

Just patience and working out the right sequence of angles...

Yes the fly transmission case was a pain to remove & replace , There's a part of the frame in the way , I covered the case in black tape so it did not scratch the hell out of it .
Had to get the right position before it went back in with lots of swearing Laughing emoticon
