First of all a huge Thank You on advance - ANY help will be most appreciated!!
Here is the history - this Vespa was bought for my uncle and brought over to Peru in 1962. I spent many, many hours mesmerized of this beautiful scooter and all my wishes came through when I was allowed to ride on it. Fast forward many years and I decided I was going to bring this Vespa back from Peru to where I live in Scottsdale, AZ. Piece by piece I brought it back in my carry on luggage and finally the engine and frame checked in. Both pieces were marked "FRAGILE ART WORK" and finally I have the whole scooter here.
NOW, I need to put it together. It was working and running fine when I had the mechanic take it apart.
Here I want to replace some rubber parts and more parts that look that need replacing.
I just don't know where to begin - I look at all these pieces and I just don't know where to start???

I'll post pictures soon!!

again, thank you for any help

That's awesome. Reminds of that episode of MASH where Klinger tries to ship home a Jeep, one piece at a time.

I guess we'd have to see some photos to know just how far it's been taken apart. I'd probably start by putting everything back on the frame (cables, fork, headset, etc). Is the engine still assembled?

Sorry for the hijack but it was Radar who tried to ship a Jeep home. Klinger tried to eat one.

Haha, you're right! That'd be cool to have one of those old Jeeps.

To the OP, let's see some photos!

Great story, and nice history for the scooter.
If you have old photos from Peru that would be cool.
