So I posted a couple days about a used GT200 that was for sale from a dealer

I was helping a friend with a potential purchase.
"good deal?... Yay or nay?"

I actually saw it today and just tried to get an estimate on the repairs. The speedometer needle is not working and the heat light was on. I was told the heat didn't effect the actual GT... just the light indicator was on.

Does anyone know if the dashboard needs to be replaced or is it just a wiring issue? Lose cables etc.

The easiest thing it could be is a defective temp sending unit. If you unplug it and the light goes out then that's it. Another thing it could be is a shorted wire.

The spedo issue is likely a broken inner cable. Does the odometer work?

If the odometer works then that means the cable is OK and the spedo is not working. In that case the spedo/dash will probably have to be replaced which could concievably also fix the temp light, but I think that's unlikely.
