Male logic
A conversation between a man and a woman - about beer....
Woman: Do you drink beer? Man: Yes. Woman: How many beers a day? Man: Usually about 3. Woman: How much do you pay per beer? Man: $5.00 which includes a tip. (This is where it gets scary !) Woman: And how long have you been drinking? Man: About 20 years, I suppose. Woman: So a beer costs $5 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at $450. In one year, it would be approximately $5400 ...correct? Man: Correct. Woman: If in 1 year you spend $5400, not accounting for inflation, the past 20 years puts your spending at $108,000, correct? Man: Correct. Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 20 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari? Man: Do you drink beer? Woman: No. Man: Where's your Ferrari? |

We have several bottles of wine in the fridge. We close our eyes, grab one, (because we can never chose one cause they are all good) We grab the glasses and towels and head to the hot tub for relaxing and fine discussions about life. I really like my weekends!

A little something I made. Four stage hop schedule during the boil, two variety dry hopped IPA. Essentially a five hopped IPA. The greeting aroma is like stuffing your head in a sack of oranges. The bitterness is evenly mellowed with the smoked oak additions. It's pretty awesome... and way too drinkable.
94.6 IBUs (International Bittering Units) 8.5 SRM (Standard Reference Method) 8.1% ABV (Alcohol by Volume) Next time, I'm making more than five gallons. This beer rocks! |

Corona. Good ol' Corona.
My daughter (not that daughter, the other daughter) and her friends came over for a weekend visit/vacation and left the remainder of the beer they bought in my refrigerator. Mrs. Menhir doesn't drink. There's no one else living here except me. So... 8) |

Based on some comments in this thread, I bought a couple of airline-sized bottles of Drambuie to see if I would like it. I drank one of them this afternoon, and I suspect the other one will be gone by tonight.
So that's an affirmative. Mrs. Jess (who hates licorice) was distinctly unimpressed. |

I had started on the Trumer earlier, but by the time I got home, I downgraded to Coors.
Steep downgrade. Still livable though. I have a few Newcastle left in the fridge. Need to quiet my mind. Maybe that's a good way... |

Besides my beer and wine favorites (medium not hoppy beers and red wines), I like mixed drinks that use sour tangy things with lemon, pomegranate and black cherry juices. Or a shot of a nice tequila now and then. |

Black licorice flavor is one of those flavors that trigger a "get that out of your mouth it could be. poisonous" kind of responses. It does not compute as a food. Lol. I also hate hate those seeds on rye bread. One of those sneaks up on me on get stuck in my teeth, my day has just gone from okay to bad. Lol. |
