Modern Vespa

I've been having a fairly crappy day, in more ways than one. Wasn't even thrilled to go out riding to run a few errands. Then I saw this when I came out of a store back to the parking lot:


Totally made my day better.

I have had more good comments in seven weeks on the Vespa than seven years on the Savage.

I just walked several blocks away from my parked Mana when I realized I thought I left my gloves on the ground. When I got back I saw that a good Samaritan had put them on top of my bike. Makes me smile for the good ones out there. Thanks

Very cool. It always makes my day when people want to take pics of mine or tell me it's beautiful. Nobody believes it;s over 5yrs old. Great way to end the riding season. 8)

Do I see a Christmas bow on your front rack,?
I would deduce by the hand writing that a lady (and fellow scooterist) admires your ride and set up Good for you

We could all learn from this and leave a note to bring light into someone's life.

Yes, that is a giant red bow. I actually met the older lady who left the note just before I pulled away. She couldn't stop gushing over Clarice. It was awesome. She apologized for acting "stalky."

Have had 3 or 4 people tell me how nice my scooter is feels good not just older people but. Couple of younger blokes.

If I may make a recommendation to all who may want to...

Make an effort to extend same to others...day-to-day there are times I extend and am sometimes the recipient of random acts of kindness or courtesy (graciousness) and I will thank and recognize the individual. If appropriate I will extend same to their employer.

I have also focused on looking back and make an effort to extend my appreciation to those in the past who have helped me (gratitude) ...a simple phone call or written note. You will be surprised at the effect you can have on that individual.

With all that's be changing with social and attitude shifts, we sometimes need to take a step back and refocus on basic common courtesies / manners and acts of kindness. Not just during the Holiday Season...all the time!

I know we can't change to world but we can take care of our own little corner!

I'm glad you followed up with what happened. This obviously made your day as well as her's. You both were recipients of an act of "kindness"!

Again, it's great to share these "feel good" moments.

I heard this sort of thing referred to as "Random Acts of Kindness." I think they are a lot of fun. Too bad I don't go around with that idea in mind. I bet I've missed a lot of opportunities simply because I was too busy to think of it at the time. Maybe this thread will capture my interest sufficiently to increase my awareness. We'll see.
