I am wondering what rally goers think are the best goodies for Rally Schwag.

Things I like to see in the rally bag or available ala carte:

1) Rally booklet (containing schedule and maps)
2) Rally patch (even though I never use them)
3) Rally sticker (preferably vinyl)
4) Rally shirt (don't get me started on my shirt preferences)
5) Random things that might be good for the specific location (e.g. ponchos for rainy locations, sunscreen elsewhere, etc.)
6) Rally key fobs
7) Rally cloisonné badges

Things that never interest me:

1) Coupons of any sort (I never find these until I leave town)
2) Non-scootering flyers
3) Stickers that have nothing to do with the event

Your feedback is important to me. I plan on creating few new Heinkel goodies: some for HeinkelFest, some for general sale.

I need fresh ideas!

Model-specific goodies are the best. I use my Lambretta Jamboree cups all the time.

My biggest peeve is selling the rally bag at a discount price on Sundays.

LOL I thought by Schwag was some Austrian/German spelling of the traditional Australian swag:

I'd like to see a tent in a raffle.

You know the typical T-shirt is all well and good, but an embroidered polo is pretty inexpensive.

MHM always did a great job in Denver, free shirt, patch, beer etc. I'd rather have smaller more meaningful pack than a huge one with lots of crap in it like misc. fliers and postcards. A program, map, shirt, and a patch is really all it needs.

Coffee Mugs.

Seriously. We're all old fucks... or old enough to need a cup o' joe to bounce the hangover on the morning after. 8)

I like the coffee/tea mug idea. An embroidered shirt would be great too.

Keep the ideas flowing!

I think the best swag I got was a Corozzo condom. "Ride with the Shield" It cracks me up!

The best rally pack item ever was the Corazzo messenger bag from Amerivespa Chattanooga.

"swag" meaning "stolen merchandise" or "a horde of stolen items" goes back pretty far as criminal slang, I doubt the acronym thing.

PS reading more definitions, both "a bag of stuff" and "a bag of stolen stuff" seem to go back pretty far.

A lot of the "bag of stuff" usages come from Australia, so easy to see how old British criminal slang would come into more generalized use there.
