Sorry Guys, havent been on much lately.

I fell down the stairs and landed on the stairgate. ( I know, I know, they are supposed to protect you) and have dislodged the bone from my wedding ring finger to my knuckle. currently bandaged up and sore and tender.

OK, I had a fight with a crocodile trying to save an old lady.

maybe not. I'll stick to the first story

Sorry about the tumble. Rest, pain meds and frequent soaks. glad it wasn't worse. If you'd hurt your middle finger you wouldn't be able to drive.

Ack, that sucks! Hope you heal up quickly. I can attest to this.

A week before starting 7th grade, I jammed my right middle finger into a wall at full running speed (yeah, don't ask). I luckily didn't break anything, but had to wear a finger splint for at least a month. All my new classmates thought it was hilarious that I got to essentially flip off all the teachers just by the way I had to hold my pen to write.

That finger is essentially double-jointed now, so the ordeal wasn't a total waste.

The thought crossed my mind as well. Marky, take care of the finger and enjoy the meds if you have some good ones. You're not the first to take a tumble down stairs so don't feel bad. I have a co-worker who fell getting out of the shower while reaching for a towel. He missed a week of work. We have never let him live that down.

A few years back while in bed I woke up smelling smoke. We've a woodburner and although it was damped right down there must have been some sap in one of the logs that exploded sending a puff of smoke out of the vents.

I totally panicked, leapt out of bed, went to run down the stairs and luckily bounced off of the babygate at the top of the stairs rather than going over it.

My missus gave me a hell of a time for that!

Not too cold for me Judy - I rode in -4 the other morning all wrapped up and nice and slowly - weather forecast incorrect - but tonight it's snowing and that's the only thing I won 't ride in

I bloody knew it, my Modern Vespa buddys have been so much more supportive than me non-forum friends...and family come to mention it.

Hand still bandaged up. Regarding the wankers elbow..although somone with my condition probably needs 2 hands, the injury is on my left and I am right handed so I should be OK on that front.

Havent had any meds apart from a few paracetamols to stop the throbbing (on the hand)

I wasnt drunk, infact I dont drink. I see so many numpties in the cells from alcohol induced fraternities, I decided alcohol was to stand for Christmas only.

the only bummer is, Im in the car yet again. automatic so no problems there. I would be riding even though its snowing and bloomin' freezing but i cant get the glove over the bandage. And im sure Swintons Motorbike insurance wouldnt be too impressed. One more week of bandages then its all off.

Well, Markysparx, I'm not surprised, it's just one of the things that makes this a great group. Nice to know we're around not just for fun and games, but for shoulders to cry on.
