I picked up the MP3 from the dealer today -- just got its first service done. Actually, they said it was the first first service they had done on an MP3. I promptly rode it the 50 miles of solid freeways to work.
In full scooter tuck, on a long flat stretch, headed into a slight headwind, I managed to get it to an indicated 90mph. Based on my previous error calculations, that's just about 82mph. I'll have to try it again with the GPS mounted and see if it holds true.
I'd swear it's just a little bit faster now. With 800 miles on the clock, it could be that it's starting to loosen up now.
