I also know that giving feels good. Doubly so when the recipient really appreciates what you're giving.

Inspired by Jim Hamilton's successful Lend a helping hand...... thread in NSM, I thought it would be a good idea to start a "freecycle" thread here in General Discussion. The idea is to find a home for all that stuff that's collecting dust in everyone's garage or closet, taking up space and generally not serving its intended purpose. There's someone out there that wants your unused stuff, no matter how obscure it is. The price of free makes this both an exercise in good will toward your fellow MVer and a good way to grease the skids, thus hastening the departure of whatever it is you've got that you really don't want anymore.

For the purposes of this thread, let's try to stick to scooter-related items. Parts, accessories, gear, books, memorabilia, and other scooter-related media are all fair game.

Ground Rules

• Everything posted here is being offered for free to fellow MVers.
• Unless stated otherwise, recipient pays shipping.
• Shipping to another country is onerous and expensive for both parties. Please avoid claiming items in another country except under very specific circumstances.
• Please list a location! It doesn't have to be super specific, but state and country are a bare minimum.

Helpful suggestions

• Try to keep it to one item per post to keep listings tidy.
• A picture is worth a thousand words.
• Please edit your post once the item has been definitively claimed.

This is the best idea ever. i have a front fender crest with the screws and dampers. If anyone would like to have it in the US it is up for grabs. I will even pay shipping. I think that there must be some people out there who wants to "crest" their GT200 fender. I remember there was a thread about it recently.

Not sure I can top what you have it in your garage but I have quite a bit too. I bought my scooter back from the insurance company for $5 when it burned and the whole front was still there and intact. I have made my peace with the remains, burned enough incense to ward off any lurking evil spirits, and catalogued them.

This is a brilliant idea, and is now my first ever favorited thread.

I have a burned out GTS body. Everything that was not welded on has been removed. Needs only minor bodywork. Could make a trailer or bring a wrecked scooter back from the dead. It will be hard to ship. PM me if tou want to make arrangements.

Used this one or two times, but I didn't like the way it blocked the headlight, and find In really prefer the uncluttered front end look. Free to a good home in Sydney - just meet for a coffee or better yet, an ale, and I'll pass it on.

In a way, you already have. Thanks for being an inspiration and an all-around great human being.

I have some high end tools for working on bicycles: Parks, Campagnolo, etc. There are bottom bracket and headset wrenchs, for example. I used to mechanic for several racers around here.
I don't remember just what I have in the garage, but if anyone is interested, I could check.

P.S. I am aware that this thread is for scooter stuff, but the Petty Tyrant ruled that since there are several avid bicycle riders around here, he would allow the listing.

I have the broken rear rack I took off my LX (OEM LX rear rack broken). There are no doubt some useful parts there if anyone needs them.

I have a Heidenau K 58 130/70-12 that looks like it was manufactured in 2007 so it makes it 6 years old. I bought it i n 2008 or 9 but my darkside experiment made me not need it so it has never been used or mounted. Wish I would have let it go sooner. I rode one previously and it was great in the wet but didn't get a lot of miles because it was so soft. Anyway. Free to a good home that wants to pay for shipping. PM me.

On the block this evening is one original Corazzo 5.0 jacket in size XL. As you can see from the pictures, some of the patches that I affixed have come loose, leaving fabric glue on the jacket itself. All remaining patches stay with the jacket.

All armor is intact and accounted for.

Free to the first claimant within the US of A willing to pay UPS standard rates for shipping.

Original, tiny, GTV flyscreen -- clear [CLAIMED]

Sorry I don't have a pic, but if you know what this is, you know what it looks like. I only used it the first couple months of owning the bike, so it's in great condition. No major scratches or scuffs (a couple minor ones on the lower side). Hardware not included (as I'm actually using it for my tall screen).

This would be great for folks who bought a used GTV with a taller screen and don't like it, or who have the new tinted 300 screen and would rather have a clear one.

Shipping is about $7 to the lower 48. I will wrap it in soft cloth before packing, to lessen the possibility of scratches during shipping.

I have several spare pairs copperized nuts. One set each request.

EEEEK! A 2006 patch! My missing link!

You know, I was kind of wondering if anyone had noticed.

I woulda snagged the jacket and regifted, eating postage, just for the patch. My original join date was October 30 2006. I have every other patch except for 2006 and one other not offered.

Do the items have to be from my regular garage or can they be from my big garage? I got some pretty tasty old school old stock to slowly offer up here!
