Wow, that's extremely generous! And it's also exactly the kind of thing I was hoping this thread would result in, situations where it's a win-win for all parties.

For your well-above-average generosity, I am awarding you a coveted Modern Vespa Toaster.

Soooo, what about the idea of a "wanted" thread? - for example, I could post that I would take an ET4 sport flyscreen off your hands if it was collecting dust in your garage.

Or is that something I could just post here? Doing that might complicate things a bit (strikethrough, etc.).

Thoughts?

On the block today is one Seal Line rain-resistant messenger bag. I won this bag at a scooter raffle, used it for a bit, and then moved on to other bags. I'm kind of a bag whore that way.

This has nice sealed seams and rubber grab points for the hook latches that hold the front flap shut. Inside dimensions are approximately 15.5" x 11", and will hold a good-sized laptop. There are some interior organizer pockets as well.

Free to the first claimant in the US willing to pay UPS shipping.

The Seal Line bag has been claimed.

This one is not scooter related, though:

1) The intent was to set up a sound system in my garage to provide tunes while working on my scoots. Using a different solution.

2) I will be bringing it to the post strapped on my GTV:

New, unopened box, Sony STR-DH100 Bravia Stereo Receiver
- Great for TV / DVD player sound
- With remote

I will pay (US) shipping.

Congrats to frogman_94. Shipping out today. Enjoy!

Big thumbs up to the Resident Grump
I snagged some copper exhaust nuts from tomjasz but they arrived in a box that was clearly too large for the supposed contents. It was marked LOOSE NUTS and RANDOM BITS. The nuts were indeed loose and the bits were more random than I could have imagined...

Last summer there was a thread here about bottle openers and Tom posted a photo of a vintage one that he was thinking of selling from his collection. I was interested but stunned when he told me what it was worth. Many months have passed and I'd forgotten all about it but apparently Tom hadn't. Included with the nuts was the opener. I am gobsmacked.

I'm fairly certain that my wife isn't going to want this mounted in a prominent position in our house so I may put it on my scooter. IIRC, Jimc knows a thing or two about fitting openers on scooters so I may seek his advice. Razz emoticon

Thanks, Tom! This made my day.

Incorrect assumption.
Surprise! I have no problem at all with it. Reminds me of some sort of Mayan mask. It gave me a definite sense of déjà vu, but I have some researching to do to determine where I've seen this before.

Acid, shrooms, or peyote? An enormous amount of single malt or tequila can have a similar effect. You may even have dated him, once. The casts were pretty common for a while. They were copied, much like Hubley's, but the devil is in the details. Notice the differences in paint between yours and those on eBay. Hubley workers took the cast home and wives often did the painting. I don't remember the scheme at Wilco, and can't find my files. I made some nice $$$ buying and selling them early last decade.

Up for grabs. Here is a set of bar end weights that I purchased to put on my LXV when I installed the top box, but didn't need. Plus I found out later the LXV doesn't have the threaded end to receive the screw. I think you can drill and tap it but I never needed to try. Should fit a GTV.

Same here and this explains the delay. Thanks Tom. The asshole merit badge was a very pleasant extra surprise. Plus it has an Aerosmith wings logo.

Point of the story, don't ship your nuts in an envelope. Use a proper container with adequate padding.
