Well when my MP3 500ie comes in next year, you may have to paint it before you ship it to me Unless Cherry reds come in, I like that color!

I'm curious, how much does it cost the paint the MP3 Dragon Red, cause I'm interested in doing that!

I'd like Ferrari Red or Ferrari Yellow

There is such little body surface area / panels on the MP3 that custom painting seems like a relatively simple/ inexpensive process !
Maybe even something an owner could do annually - or whenever they change their helmet!! For now, I'm digging the silver. It matches my Shoei .... |

Alt The MP3 arrived last Friday - much to my glee. I was able to watch the final moments of the PDI - ing with Owen at Vespa Vancouver. Great guy - very respectful of the gravity of the occasion. Well, the MP3 has lived up to every expectation. For me the weight = stability; excellent road holding capabilities. The feeling that I'm cruising over the road - like a hovercraft. And this bike fits me perfectly - like a person of my height and weight was used as a template for it's design ! So saying that I'm "chuffed" is an understatement. But at the dealership - I was asked if I was keeping the GTS ! Well, geez - the Vespa is a gorgeous, reliable - dream ride. Stirs my soul everytime I ride. And it's a Vespa My GTS looks as good as it did day one (February 06) So I won't be changing my name anytime soon. It's always been Diana by the way.... Thanks for the well wishes Sarah - I'm charging my camera battery as I type. I'm waiting for the perfect lighting and moment to snap away. I fancy dawn (but that means I have to get to bed real early and do less scoot related online stuff!). By the way - I feel very very lucky (not too sucky) to have these wonderful bikes. Quite simply - Piaggio's rock !!!!!!
Mine looks like this - but this was the demo bike I had at Easter !

Yes I meant Sucky You got yours before we got ours here in Calgary, so that makes you a sucky!!!!
Really though enjoy yours...I will be breaking in the MP3 and teaching the ex how to ride it then I will probably not ride an MP3 till next year (I am hoping the 500's are here then). At least I got my BV250, which in and of itself is a fantastic machine. I am hoping that the MP3-500 has a little bit bigger wheels to match the bigger engine. Alt |

Several photos showing the entire take apart/put back together process, going from Graphite Black to stark-naked to Dragon Red. Then other photos showing an Excalibur in the process of turning Yellow. Who is this magician? |
