Well.. my husband just brought me a plate of bagel bites.

And I discovered my scooter has less damage than I originally thought after I dropped it the other day.

A guy stopped next to me at a light this afternoon asked, "You got a Hemi in that thing?" which quite amused me. One of those folks who just had no idea a little Vespa could pass his big ol' dually.

Wifey got home from Chicago last night!

Yesterday I got a smile and a wave from a motorcycle cop, and then a sport bike guy called my Vespa "legit".

I rode to work today for the first time in 2013!!!

This actually happened yesterday: Rode scoot downtown for a scheduled root canal. Front desk person let me park on front of her office right up on building driveway. Went in for dreaded procedure, endodontist started probing around, called for more "pics" and decided that somehow the root has either regrown or two other dentists made mistakes... sent me home... now going to have a crown put in....

It's not looking any warmer here.

Congratulations, in a way. Haven't had a root canal (yet), but a crown is enough of an indignity.

Just slipped out to give my wife's car a wash (she works a whole block away).... it's too nice (hey 45 degrees scores a "nice" for now), and I don't mind scoring bonus points either

So, driving back to the office, see a bike coming through the intersection, and lo and behold, it's an MP3! Haven't seen one outside of a showroom here, and in this town I've yet to see anything Piaggio.

Cripse, Stickey, I was too excited. You're checking my observation skills, aren't you? Got the mp3 decal, full gear, reflective striping, full face helmet....dark colored bike, nothing that stands out, gray actually would be my first guess, but I'm not even sure what colors they come in. Actually thought I should follow him to say hi, but it was a bit too late.

I understand. There are a few WI mp3 people that have posted in the mp3 section. Melitab from Wisconsin Rapids has s red 500 and Blue Scoot who rides a black 250. I think there was another but couldn't find them. If you see him or her again point them our way. Now get out there and ride.

Nice to know...I'll keep an eye out for them. I was thinking of HamOnThree, but this isn't exactly friendly weather for an hour's ride yet.....though possible. Rapids is incidentally closer to 2 hours from here

Oh, didn't know that... well, you know how we humans are, complaining about negative things and forgetting about the daily positive ones...

Having to swap so many shifts around to deal with my surgery last week, I had absolutely flaked that I was supposed to come in for a morning shift today!! I also had my phone's ringer off while I was asleep. I ended up racing in nearly an hour late! The owner was already in the store, and he was actually cool with it. First time I haven't been early. So that's totally a good thing for today. I'm lucky I live so close, and have recovered enough to scoot. Plus it isn't raining, like it was threatening to.

The scooter is out! It runs perfectly and the season is here! YES!
AND the sun is shining! I'm gonna flip off the first person to shit on my day.

Another thing that's cheering me up: My sister is safely settled in Denver and starts her new job (exactly what she wanted-employer, shift, everything) on Monday.

My husband bought me a brand new shiny dragon red GTS 300 Super for our anniversary! I rode it last night and woke up smiling this morning.

I got a great guy AND a great Vespa!

I'm commission selling a 1996 white Ford Bronco and get to drive it until it sells. This type of vehicle never appealed to me. I was wrong.

The preferred vehicle for low speed freeway chases.

I recall seeing one in SF with a license plate of "NOT OJS" and a sticker for an appropriately placed apostrophe. I busted out laughing. Wish I'd gotten a picture of it.

I am very happy that I didn't experience any pain from my recent hernia surgery today. With continued progress, I be riding my GTS pretty soon.

Received a header pipe for my BV200 today (Ebay $12). Unobtainable for 3 years while mine has been welded 3 times.

My back's doing well. My kids will both be here this evening (Easter break). I'm in the midst of planning a family vacation for which the money is already saved. There's a small chance I can actually get the bike out on Saturday. Things are good at work.
