The stock exhaust on my 2009 GTV 250 has finally started to give up the ghost.

I'm looking for the best replacement. I can't see any way to replace the exhaust like-for-like either with a Vespa or after market exhaust.

The GPR Vintalogy system looks like it would be the best option for the retro style of my GTV.

I'm based in the UK. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Clark

I also have a 2009 GTV. I just had the exhaust gasket replaced for the 2nd time (I just broke 12K miles). The exhaust was fine, its just a gasket between the header pipe and the exhaust that fails. Evidently a poor design. I had the local shop replace the gasket and also had them sand and paint the exhaust with high-temp paint - ot was showing rust but fine otherwise. So perhaps your exhaust is fine, its just the gasket. Total bill BTW was US$211. I supplied the paint.

Shop told me the only aftermarket exhaust they like (not sure from what perspective) is the Leo Vince.

Hope that helps
Best
Miguel

My exhaust still seems to have a decent amount of life left in it for the time being. But when I do replace it, I'm hoping to get the LV Vintage.

I had an LV on a previous scooter, and it was fantastic. Probably the only thing on that bike that I didn't manage to wear out.

It is designed as a wear item - it's been doing its job. It's a consumable, always carry a spare at home, just as you might have other common spares like fuses, headlight lamps or oil.
