I'm kind of working towards a pretty simple clean two tone (black and silver) look with the scoot. I saw this picture and I kind of dig it.

I'm thinking black chrome for the horn cover.

What do you all think?

No
I personally wouldnt remove perfectly good chrome for black on an existing one, but if thats yer preference if you can source one in black and retain the (lovely) chrome one then you can go either way.

Go for it. The best thing about painting chrome is you can strip it very easily. The worst part about painting chrome is it scratches off pretty easy. Do you plan on blacking out all the chrome?

I will find a replacement part. Not planning on doing anything to make it further away from stock than it already is.

I'd hopefully get it black chromed, or worst case black nickel.

Not doing any of the other chrome parts, just an accent to balance out the front a bit.

I am going to put one decal on the glovebox though.
