I'm back in Taranaki looking at rocks.

I had to look up Taranaki to determine where you are. I admit, I really
have a void on New Zealand geography. Thanks for the window on your world.

There is an Island off of Naples called Ischia that has somewhat the same kind
of rock formation. It is called the Fungi Rock (Mushroom Rock). Ischia is off
the main tourist track but popular with Europeans. I use to take the Ferry
from Pozzuoli and ride my 350 Ducati around the Island.

If you were in Tasmania, did you come across any "Tasmanian Devils". I
thought this was only a cartoon character on Looney Tunes.

I come country from Tassie which is probably why i love riding in the country so much. Last ride around there was just under a year ago.

I haven't seen a devil in a very long time, last time was probably in a zoo. The most common animals i see when riding are wallabies, snakes, kangaroos, echidnas and the occasional wombat. Mostly though since I'm rarely on the road at dusk or dawn i only see cows and sheep.

OscarSass, as far as i know, my friend and myself got the 2 last brand new PX125 in Scotland, this was in 2016, due to emission laws, we can no longer buy them new in the UK

Im less than a mile from the sea, im on the South West coast, lots of nice scenery and history here, the town i live in dates back to 1193.

There was a big debate in my family whether we originally Scottish
or English. Ultimately, we were English. Evidently, the boarder
moved around allot.

With the predominance of red hair, we thought we were Scottish.
There is a Copeland Castle near the Scottish boarder. Thus the
conflict.

Arbgarry, a good few members here from Ayrshire. Are you a member of any clubs? The Millport Rally should be coming up soon as should the Port Patrick Rally. Most live on the "Not so modern" side, as will you with your PX. Good to have you on board, lots of helpful people on this forum.

Arran Isle are great! One of my favorite places when I visited that area!

Every time I'm in NY, I take the ferry to your bit, so different from Manhattan. Its like being in the country in comparison. (unless its changed in the last 13 years.

Same. Just busier and more expensive.

Don't let the scammers convince you it costs money to ride the ferry!

Here is a photo from our scooter club campout at the Grand Canyon.

Lovely pics. The latter, reminds me of a part of Spain I used to visit to go hiking.

A spot of mountaineering - back when I had a life (and mojo) pre-covid.

The view from Triglav - the highest peak in the the Julian Alps. Most Slovenians ascend this at least once point in their lives. Gorgeous views on the way up too.

The approach is quite narrow in places - you really want to be clipped-in when passing others, or if its windy, or if its damp (the rock is quite polished in places).

Classic do as I say, not as I do. 🤣

Most westies from the southside of Glasgow don't bother to climb it and hang about the lake instead while their dads drink beer!

Not a lot of people from the UK go to Slovenia

I'm only in one club, the Square and Compass Scooter Club.

Port Patrick is a hour and a half from where i stay.

I've had big bikes for years, the Vespa was all new to me in 2016, thankfully i have a mate, who has been onto them for 30 plus years

As the song says, "We're gonna have a good day, and all my homies gonna ride today"!

No we popped back through Austria and Germany on the way home. Would love to go back one day, this year its more island bagging at home and lake bagging in Italy.

The wee yin has managed two more islands so far this year Anglesey and Iona.

New Lakes in a few weeks are Guarda and Iseo....Animal welfare certificate depending....bloody brexit!
