I was on my roof yesterday to repair my small weather station. Acacia is a common weed tree in Santa Cruz where I live that I just love when it blooms. It always blooms in February and signals Springs impending arrival. I shot this one from my roof.

Guzzi,
Wonderful pictures. Thank you for posting. Regrettably, 8" of snow last night here in Frostbite Falls Minnesota. You keep my scooter spirits alive. A real April Fools situation here. I do not know if my scooter group first ride will happen April 15th. Bob Copeland |

I visited the nearby Vespa shop a couple of weekends ago, and this sleek black beauty followed me home (actually, I rode it home). Traded my 2020 Buddy 170i and some folding $$, so we now are an all Vespa fleet. The sasquatch decal is no longer affixed, and a new shorter windshield is on order, in addition to a seat cover from Cheeky Seats.

Ms Miguel and I went to Pinnacles National Park today for a walk amongst the wild flowers and the grandeur of the cliffs. Pinnacles is 150 miles south of San Francisco. It's a great time of year to go. Weather was perfect

Last Monday while driving back to Tennessee from Texas we caught the tail end of the Ennis Bluebonnet Trail. Okay, officially the trail goes to the end of the month but nobody told the flowers that. Many were already past peak but there were a few fields that were spectacular and had a place you could pull off to take photos. One even invited you to come take pictures amongst the bluebonnets and indian paint brush asking only that you stick to the paths and not trample the flowers.
In some ways I wish I was on the scoot as you will see a bit of one of the roads in one photo but then we wouldn't have had the dogs with us for their photos. These were taken with my Canon r7. ![]() Our young pup Watson closest to the camera and our semi retired old boy Zander.
![]() Got lucky and this field was still in glorious color.
![]() You can see a glimpse of the lovely up and down, twist and turn road that would be a pleasure on two wheels. Not tom mention there were some places that would have made lovely photos but no place to safely stop in a car.

I finally got out for a ride yesterday. This is at the southern end of the Santa Cruz Mountains that separate Santa Cruz from Silicon Valley/San Jose. The range runs from just south of San Francisco to the southern border of Santa Cruz County - about 100 miles in length. It was a coolish ride but still fun to get out on the bike. This is one of my favorite roads - Rt 129. The massive rains we've had this year have kept the hills green and in bloom. They are usually turning golden by May 1 as the grasses die back.

600 feet above Kratchner Caverns State Park. (https://azstateparks.com/kartchner)
Pano view of the valley, park headquarters can sort of be seen in the flat green area on the left. The camp sites are just in front of headquarters when you look from where the picture was taken. This is the Giundani Loop Trail – if you take the 4.2-mile loop trail and turn right at the Y you are rewarded with this view as you close in to the end of the hike; Sierra Vista AZ is at the base of the mountain in the far-right distance. The camp site closes for summer. Giundani Loop Trail – near Kratchner Caverns State Park ![]()

giallo,
Looks like some protection from the rain. You would probably still need rain gear. I just like the trunk. covered top and fairing that would direct weather away from you. Perhaps some of you folks in Europe or elsewhere could provide some input on this BMW C1. Bob Copeland |
