Modern Vespa

I call this photo "Life After Fahrvergnügen". It's not actually one of my best photographs, but I really wanted to say "Fahrvergnügen".

This art-deco bus has been in my neighborhood on and off over the years. I finally took some time yesterday to photo it. I love it.

This was was made in 1953 based on perusing the photos on the Flxible Owners site. Flxible started in the 1910s as a builder of motorcycle side cars in Loudenville Ohio. There's quite a bit of info on the site.

Unfortunately, it's parked in a strip mall parking lot across the street from where I usually see it and the mall owner has had it tagged to be towed. I hope the owners gets it moved before the tow truck shows up!

Spectacular scene - in a city which looked somewhat depressed and neglected. Canadian side gets much better reviews from visitors we met.

I bought this bike from the Sturgis BMW dealer about three years ago. It was in extraordinary condition, candy for the eyes, and I got it for $2700.

I don't know her, but she, and a small group of other women rode their horses near us and stopped to chat a bit. They were having a great time out with their ponies.

I know this set of pictures of the old bus are about a year old post, but just happened on it today. I actually have a new-old stock clearance light like those on the front of this bus. A common item on trucks and busses of that vintage and latter!
