We fly back in to the Bay Area the morning of the 4th, so I'll miss this year (yet again)... Hopefully next time around!

I am stoked about this. I will likely miss 3 Peaks for the first time in 3 years, but I will no doubt be jonesing for a patch and past year rockers. "Boo!" on me that there will be a gap for 2013~

I may not make it to the end this time -- my wife will be riding pillion this year and we're just going to see how far we get and not push it. But I can hopefully score a patch eventually with last year's rocker.

I'm a 99.99% likelihood of no-show on this one, but I have a very good reason.

Hopefully you guys have fun, and who knows, maybe I"ll be able to make it up to Tam to just say hi with my little bear.

That's too bad. I ran into another member who told me of previous Three Peaks Challenges, and specifically told me that you were pretty awesome at shooting cornering/ action shots of the riders on some of the scenic spots. I was looking forward to meeting you and getting some shots. Of all the rides I've done with friends, I seem to be the one with the camera, and when I hand the camera off, the others have taken shots that aren't quite up to snuff. (Blurred/too wide of angle, pictures of the soil, etc.) I'm no photo snob, but taking photos of moving objects is an art.

Anywhoooo. Maybe next time.

D'oh! Sorry. Yeah I do love doing that. Another year, though - Saturday is a daddy/daughter day and there's very little in this world that would make me want to miss that.

A huge VCLG thank you to everyone who came out for the ride.

Weather was perfect and I think there were no mishaps.

I hope the ride lived up to its billing, it always does for me.

Really enjoyed the day with a hard core group.

The smiles on Mt Tam were genuine.

ZOMG I am home, tired, spent, happy, and working on my second glass of wine. This ride was harder than I remember it. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Also, about the patches: I seem to be short a couple of address cards, compared to the amount of money I collected. This probably means that someone bought a patch without giving me an address card for their to-be-mailed rocker(s). If you don't remember filling out a card and handing it to me, please PM me.

So nice to see so many friendly faces from the past and present on this ride. A big shout-out to Matt and Linda and Kevyn for coming all this way for this great ride.

Most of us having breakfast at Zamora's. Naturally, this is the ONLY pic I took that day as I wasn't riding, but it's still nice to see everyone coming together so early.

What a great day. The weather was pleasant and the turn out fantastic. I don't know if there is a bike count but it had to be in the 20s. Lauren did a great job leading a large group up to Mt Diablo. Oddly enough Mt Tam was hotter this year than Diablo. There was a small fender bender but no casualties. It was great having the Quinns and Matt from NY here for the adventure. It seemed to be there was more gravel on the roads this time. Apologies to Lee for throwing so much rock at you. I will invest in a mud flap before next year
I look forward to seeing all of you again next year
