Modern Vespa

My 61 VBB has a hard time going into first gear. Other than that runs great. What can I try?

cable adjustment. just pull off the box cover and check on the pinch bolts.

Already checked it. No adjustment needed

idle adjustment. are you really slow idle or quick idle?

Not idling slow or fast. It's idling just right. It goes through all the gears fine. I just need to work it to get it into first

If I don't get a quick shift into 1st gear upon take off, I'll blip my throttle and it will shift into gear. I learned not to keep sawing at the shifter as its a sure fire way to shorten the life of the inner cable
