I like them all so far, the last typeface has that sort of 'halloweenish' feel to it; seems kinda seasonal somehow. Color me a fan of helvetica, tho. If you are into typeface/marketing/advertising sort of things check out the movie "Helvetica." A lot of work goes into typeface design, thanks Jess !

The "P" in Vespa looks like a "T".

Modern Vesta...something related to virgins? Doesn't seem likely.

Right. Because hardly anyone has ever been to Paris or New York.

I don't love it. I like it on the Paris Metro, and I like the version in Chicago, but those are elongated and elegant, which is a hallmark of art nouveau design. This is short and stumpy, and lacks context. But that's just my opinion.

did you just hit me over the head with that? glad I always go Toreador Pants.

I do GET where it came from. I have seen it. I actually have a background in art and design and I used to do that kind of lettering by hand with a quill and Indian ink. All I meant, was that, in my own opinion, with the florid ornate metalwork taken away, it lacks its full context. As such, out of the various temporary logos, it is not my favorite, though I actually do love the sign in Paris and Chicago. But that's okay, every single sign can't be every person's favorite. I'm waiting for an Art Deco or Moderne incarnation.

My point was only that those stumpy letters were taken straight from an authentic Metropolitain sign. I agree that the ornate metalwork adds quite a bit to the theme, but that's fairly hard to tie into a web page.

I know the letters are accurate.
And true, you can't really do all the ornate scroll work.
Now I want a Bugatti designed Vespa

I, for one, have been enjoying the "What will the logo look like today" game. The only detraction from this is when a particularly good one pops up, knowing it will be gone shortly.

It ties to the graphic and would have made it more interesting. We'll wait. Popcorn emoticon

I may well have missed the beginning of the banner changes but Jess are you going to keep changing them or will we eventually get 'the popular vote' or will you decide yourself what the permanent banner will be?

Reason I am asking is I would like to put an mv sticker on the bike but wont be able to get one if it keeps changing!

None of the recent banners will be permanent. They're an exercise in iteration.

Eventually, we'll go back to a permanent logo.

Nope. We already have a permanent logo designed and ready to go.

This...enthusiastically! Not unlike what Google does, makes it interesting and entertaining too.
