I am looking at the from Scooter West does anyone know if the will fit on the LXV. I have a rear rack on the LXV but I do not have a top case.
Their description states that they wont work on some bikes with a certain rear rack?
Has anyone installed these on an LXV?

The LXV rack is slightly smaller but mounts exactly the same as the vespa LX rear rack. They will fit just fine.

Sorry to disappoint, but those bars aren't stainless steel. Those are original Vespa OEM crash bars which are chrome plating over mild steel. They do have nice, heavy chrome plating, and I have them on my two Vespas.

Nice installation.

Yep, I stand corrected I ordered the Vespa Crash Bars, the insturctions informed me to us vasoline on the chrome, they look great any other suggestions for keeping the rust a bay ?
They are constructed very well and are mainly all one piece so hopefully that will cut down on the area's where water can get in.

No worries. IMHO, good-quality, heavy chrome plating is superior to stainless steel for non-marine use anyway. It has a deeper, richer luster that even the best polished stainless steel can't quite match. All "stainless" steel -- even the best grades -- can get some light surface rust anyway.

A good coat of wax occasionally will keep rust at bay.

Take it from a long-time boat owner, all "stainless" steel -- even the best grades -- can get some light surface rust anyway.
