Ladies and Gentlemen,

I will be spending Friday through Monday at Lake Tahoe and would like some "things to do" and "things to see" advice. I will have the afternoons and evenings off and will be staying in Tahoe City. I will have a car.

No, this is not an Iron Butt and Bun Burner back to back, just anyone is crazy enough to think that.

Bill, I appreciate your time and effort in this, I really do! I might just go do that.

Tahoe City will be pretty quiet after-hours... Maybe a locals joint or two. If you want "night life," head down to the south shore at Stateline. Three big casinos on the NV side are Harrah's, Harvey's, and the Horizon. It's like Vegas-lite. If gamblilng isn't your thing, skip the casinos, and take a ride up the gondola from Heavenly Village (right by state line, south shore) to the top for an AMAZING view. If you like BBQ, there's a decent place in South Lake Tahoe called "Womack's" - sort of across the street from Heavenly Village. I don't know how it'll compare to NC BBQ, but for out west, it ain't too shabby.

Tahoe City is not too far from Incline Village, NV on the north shore. The Hilton has the Lone Eagle Grill with a fantastic bar, beach side dining and a pretty good little casino. Mt. Rose Hwy 452 connects to Reno from Incline, if you want a little more activity.
