Woohoo! I actually have plans that don't involve working.

Heading out to Kearney, NE [ish] for a family wedding. Hopefully everyone will be on their best behavior.

Sunday evening we're jumping strait into cooking for Iron Chief Mint.

And then rolling into 3 or 4 4th of July parties later in the week.

What are you up to?

Go ahead... rub it in. I am still in denial.

My weekend and subsequent 4th of July will be spent on a cleaning frenzy with frequent breaks and naps of course. I finally grew enouth balls to remove the headliner from the SLK hard top and took it to be re-upholstered. Her name is Liz and right now she looks like the bionic woman since some of the top actuators are exposed. Removal was easier than expected. I will be detailing cars and the scooter. The cars are in pretty good shape outside but need a bit of TLC on the inside.

My husband would trade you wedding attending for home chores.

While I am quite happy for my aunt who is getting married, the family tends to bicker and so forth. I am hoping they will be on good behavior with other folks around.
I just try to find it all funny instead of getting mad. and will probably spend the weekend tweeting the out of touch/racial slurs/nasty comments my g'ma makes.

Ah well, I'm looking forward to getting out of town at least.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket to see Neil Gaiman, and get a signed copy of his latest book, when he was in town last week. Finally got a chance to read it this morning, and it was simply amazing. Gave me a book hangover like I haven't had in ages. I'm planning to follow it up this weekend with a binge on at least one of the other two titles I bought while I was in line waiting.

A little bit of lawn mowing and house cleaning - it gets easier if you pick up after yourself.

Volunteering at my kids swim meet - I'm the deck officer. I make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be for their heat. Makes for a long morning but it is fun!

Dinner at the Old Stein Inn. Yum!

Sundays I get up early-ish and spend a couple of hours reading in my la-z-boy. A little slice of heaven.

Workshop on Saturday, Getting my oils changed and the valves checked. Checking the bike over fior loose anything. Poached some homemade beer from a friend and a good time will be had by all. Sunday got some health things to do. Yuck but i get to ride there and back so that's good.Have a great weekend everybody. Oh my 10 1/2 yr old bunny Nemo had a great vet checkup yesterday. Gained weigh. Gots some extra pain in his left hip but metacam works (he loves the stuff). He's got a cataract in his right eye and one starting in his left. Might be blind down the road but he gets around. Just can't rearrange my room now. He had a pedicure and was fawned over so he's a happy camper today.

Working the usual overnight shift 11-7 all weekend. Couple days off and then 3 more nights of the same because of the holiday.

Thanks for being there! While I'm sure the shift is rough, I always appreciate old school officers on duty.

Will focus this weekend on finishing flat screen TV and shelf wall mount. All off the floor and organizing the HDMI and power cables (cable ties and Velcro straps) . Component shelves need a little touch up.

Then the rest of the wall system shelves go up and things back on the shelves.

It took some initial planning with the contractor with the HDMI cables hidden thru the walls and the power cables placed behind the shelf panel.

Results were good.

Still needs to do a little patch work on the dry wall since component shelves needed to be move up to sit properly behind the TV screen.

Renovation...lot's of planning, lot's of work and can be satisfying once completed.
