Modern Vespa

I need some ideas for a 5 character vanity plate for my RI Vespa. Sorry, but Vespa is not available. Any good ideas?

Vespa is Italian for "Wasp" The 2-stroke Vespa sounds like a wasp. The new 4-stroke Vespas sound more like Bumblebees.

Italian for bumblebee is "bombo" -- which is available.

That's what I did. I was kinda shocked nobody else had it. With the NY AMA plate I was limited to 4 characters anyway.

I've always liked the interchangeability of letters and numbers. You could do something like V35P4.

When I wanted a Can Am Spyder, I was going to have 5P4D3R. The California fonts for the 4 looks close to a Y variation.

or... V3SPA use a 3 instead of an E

My plates is Missouri with 6 spots to fill is SKQQTR so in that vane, SKOOT, SKQQT, SCOOT or SCQQT I think the QQ look like little eyes. It does cost us about $50 a year extra for the right to be vain, then again money just seems to run in my vein(s)

Slight digression: the best plates I have ever seen were:

On a porsche - WAS H1S

On a beat up convertible morris minor - BLO 69

On a lamborghini - U SUCK

On a vw camper - B1G BUG

On a high end car - "PVC DOC"

There's a local SUV that I suspect might have been part of a divorce settlement, or at least one hell of a bet. The plate reads: HEHEIWIN

Great plate! It took me a minute to figure it out. I'm glad it got through the RI censors! I have fond memories of going down to the basement area of the old DMV near the State House in PVD, with various friends, and seeking out not vanity, but initial plates (the old two letters, two/three number plates)

I live in San Diego and vanity plates just aren't as popular as they are back in RI (vanity and the infamous low numbered plates!). Though I do have a vanity plate on my scoot.

Greetings from the Ocean State! You live in one of my favorite parts of the country. I used to spend some time in La Jolla area. I am originally from Michigan and we were not as enamored with license plates as they are here in Little Rhody. Thus, I have decided to embrace the concept.

BTW, we have a new DMV now located in Cranston.
