May not be going anywhere - the part hasn't arrived at Chiswick Honda. They swear it will arrive tomorrow and they'll make the service first job of the day...but I was supposed to be on the 9:50 Eurotunnel.

If all goes according to plan we'll just have a later start and longer day than planned, but they swore the part would show up today.

So, best case scenario: part turns up at 8 tomorrow, bike ready for collection at 11, on the shuttle at 2, four hours later than planned. Makes for a very long day! At least the Honda shop have offered to cover the cost of changing the Chunnel booking.

I am (more than) a Bit Cross that they didn't make more effort to ring round other dealers etc, but the Chunnel offer sweetens me slightly. Seeing as amending the booking cost as much again as the original crossing, it's just as well.

We had a young woman from Slovenia stay with us several years ago, then the next summer our daughter stayed with her family there. Photos and stories make the place look super for a vacation. I am sure that you will have a great time.

Yeah, getting knackered on Day 1 is never a good start But we would have been tired anyway with the early start. We could arrange a different, closer hotel, but I'm keen to stick with the original plan as far as possible.
