Having just reviewed his short, but remarkable posting history, i have to ask how is it that he hasn't been given the bum's rush with a bunch of red x's on his backside?
I don't know Wonder Machine, but just based on reading her (and about her) here, I'd trust her with my own kids! |

mollusc that's pretty good
... and actually quite an appropriate comparison - I'm no biologist but I'd guess that the average mollusc is only slightly more aware than most London motorists. |

Was puzzling over this (and reading a bit of the backstory) and it occurred to me that there was a perfect thread to mention it in.
How do you pronounce the word "quixotic"? |

An interesting day so far -
I actually rode the BV to Hackney today which made a refreshing change seeing as it's sat in the garage sulking for the last month. After a delicious breakfast at our favourite coffee shop we rode down to Roman Road Market to meet up with Graham and Stan. Graham was having his 300 serviced at Scootech and Stan was just being sociable I guess. We relocated to Scootech to shoot the shit with the Fun Boy Three and while Genie and I took turns to sit on a Lambretta chopper Graham took the "This is what you could have won" out for a test ride. He was quite positive on his return. Spent the rest of the day pointing at things. Birreh. Edit down town Valencia looks more like a generic city in Star Trek |

My morning was quite eventful, dragged the GTV out for her annual MOT only to find she wouldn't start despite being on the battery tender and it showing a full charge. Called the AA out via my Carole Nash Insurance Policy and the kind AA made put his power jumper thing onto the battery and punched her into life. Diagnosis, knackered battery. Got her MOT'd ok though with no advisories yet again.

ask
How many years have you had the battery Pepy ?
On the weekend of the 19th/20th of October Genie and I are off to the Spa Francorchamp Racing Circuit in Belgium for the annual 24 hour Citroen 2CV race and if anyone would like to join us you are more than welcome. It's going to be my 5th visit and Genie's 2nd. The race is pretty bonkers but if you think that the cars are slow think again. Most of them have their engines ripped out and replaced with BMW 1200 boxer units then they are modified to the point where you can't really recognise their original form. I think that the bulkhead and the suspension arms remain untouched but as for the rest of it it's open season. Even though Spa is notorious for having bad weather every time I've predicted that it will piss down it's remained stubbornly dry and sunny. It really is the best racing circuit in the world and it sits in the middle woody Ardenne Mountains just South of the quaint town of Francorchamp which complement the visage. Bill X |

I'm not the racing aficionado that Bill is, but I remember seeing 2CVs race on a UK circuit like Mallory or Donnington years ago, and it was some of the maddest, most entertaining racing I've ever watched....

a lovely visit today with the lads at scootech ... they've recently become a stockist for Macna gear. beautifully made stuff - sadly their women's range is still quite limited, but i find myself coveting a set of their gloves...
we also spent some time admiring this fugly lambretta chop in the workshop. observe the redonculous front forks, and the instrument cluster & headlight cleverly designed to obscure the eyeline of a normally-proportioned rider. points were also awarded for creative use of kitchen and bathroom cable sheathing on the brake lines |

Group Meet Up - Sun 27 October
I've pushed the Hendon meet-up back a week to Sun 27 October so Bill and a few others can make the date.
The Event flyer is now up over here -> UK MV Mini Meet - Hendon, London Sun 27 Oct 2013 Sign up on the thread. Who's in?! I'm going to round up a few new faces that have popped up on MV this summer, several of them London folk. Can we top the record for the number of riders at a UK MV meet? |

Does anyone in London have one of Didge's rear racks that I could try on my gts with the solo seat?
I've already spoken to Didge and he says some fit and some don't, depending on how padded the seat is (the padding varies...) |

Just trying to decide whether to take the train or go on two wheels. Train is winning at the mo. In other news, I'm getting solar panels installed in a couple of weeks. It's got to be a better return than my savings account. |
