I got binned out of a recruitment process today, for a role that would have doubled my salary, seen me spend a year in Dubai and then relocate to West London.

Feel your pain there Bro. I had something similar back in 2010. My wife and I were moving to Houston, I had a job transfer all lined up to our HDQ and we had just spent a week out there house hunting. When we got back to the UK, all ready to pack up and leave, the company announced a merger. As a result, all hiring was cancelled with immediate effect. I was totally bummed.

A year later, we adopted our beautiful daughter.

I'll get a pic, turns out the owner lives in the next street to me so I'll see him a fair bit. Bad luck about the job, I missed out on one that I wanted last week as well. Wasn't meant to be for either of us but we will get the next one!

Seems reasonable to me. He's certainly had plenty of success herding Skoks.

From my experience, that's quite similar to herding cats.

Only with more hissing and biting.
