OK first let's just say I'm a tech idiot and get that out of the way.
So I have maybe a dozen USB cables of varying sizes. Seems like they all have a big connector on one end. That's good. Now the other end can be any of three or four sizes I think. The small ones are particularly hard to figure out which one goes to which device.

Samsung G3, Kindle book reader, Kindle Fire, desktop fan, eCigarette charger. WTH?

Does anyone know of a solution for travel so I can take one cord and add connecters to reduce to the size of my device.

One more. How come I tie my shoes they become untied in a couple hours but if I put two cords in a bag and come back an hour later it's a Gordian knot?

Thanks!

I recently bought 6" long A to mini and micro B cables which I think are a good solution. You can find USB Mini B to Micro B converters, but little devices like those invariably get lost.

And if you have a proprietary connector, Samsung camera, or iDevice say, well, you are at their mercy and don't lose the cable

Not too long ago I bought a USB cord with an assortment of connections; I think it was at Walgreen's.

It sounds like you should just put your feet wearing untied shoes into bags and let the Gordian knot tying faeries tie them for you; but don't put both feet in the same bag or you won' be able to straddle your scooter.

Well, the great thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from!

UK solution (and it may travel) - get a 'universal charger' kit from Maplins (Frys...). It's a ciggie-lighter-USB thingie, plus a cable that will accept multiple supplied 'charger' ends, including all main phones and USB types. Saving our hides on the Spain trip.

Oh, and cheap.

Limecat probably loves to play with all those cords.

Anyway, the cord Jess shows, along with this, will set you up for travel and home, including rental cars.

I think this could work. I don't have any Apple products so the big pin connector would not help but the others would. (No fighting about Apple v others please)
Thanks!
