Wow! To the VCoA, Motorsports, the several clubs and individuals and sponsors involved in producing this year's Amerivespa I just want to say "Thank You".

Your compound efforts produced a professional, well planned, and memorable Amerivespa with something to offer to any and every sub-set of the scootering hobby and scooterist.

As someone who has been involved in other, lesser events I know the logistics and planning involved in a dynamic moving "party on wheels" are monumental, and increase empirically as attendance, and event size grows.

This was a city-wide party on two wheels that was well a polished series of events, and despite a few hiccups was quite a feat, made possible by your joint enthusiasm and devotion to it. Impressive achievement.

Thank you all.

I second that. I had an awesome time meeting new and seeing old friends, with great rides, good food, and killer music. Many thanks for your hours of hard, tedious work and sleepless nights. I am excited for NOLA next year.

Definite props to Alex, Steve, and all the crew @ Vespa Motorsport. I know they spent weeks leading up to it getting all the planning done, then very long days setting up and actually getting everything done. Amazing that in the course of a few hours they had packed up all that it took days to do.

I even spent Sunday night helping to pack them up at Portuguese Hall and move everything back to the shop. Nerve wracking is hauling vintage scooters worth tens of thousands of dollars in the back of a van without even looking at them wrong.

All the clubs really pitched in and helped out as well, leading the rides and representing the scooter community well.

On behalf of the San Diego Scooter Squadron and our group of volunteers I say your welcome and that we are glad you had a good time. The Pharaohs, The Secret Society, Vespa Motorsports, and the SDSS started working on this event in August. I worried about things that didn't matter and missed a couple things that would have made it better. All and all it was an exhausting week that I am just recovering from. Don't know if we will see another event of this magnitude in San Diego, but smaller rallies will be much easier.

The fact that you can reflect on your efforts and make these post-event conclusions speaks to the quality.

Live and learn and I'm betting youre your own worst critic

I know I can speak for everyone that came out from New Orleans that we had a fantastic time. I for one loved every minute, the rides I went on were all fun, the venues were all great, and I met a lot of great people. I tip my helmet to you all.
